Picasso Paintings as 3D Art #2: Buste de femme dans un fauteuil 1949

Aqil found it challenging to re-create Picasso’s work in a new style.

I have been studying his artworks since I started my career — his abstract visual language always inspired me and I found new forms interacting with each other.”

For this project, Aqil chose six of Picasso Paintings and turned each of the flat figures into 3-dimensionally stylised forms.

“In this visual mimicry I have shown how skill responds when it come across the complexity of someone’s thought, and how the meanings of shapes and forms have been changed to create new physical qualities, its purpose is to give a new implication of Picasso’s artworks through a series of hyper-realistic visuals. I am trying to explore his geometric forms.” ─ Info mostly from Iloboyou
