6 Things You Didn’t Know about December #6: Many Happy Holidays!

December is called the Holiday Season for good reason. It is the month where at least four important festivals are held: Christmas, Hanukkah (a Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple), Kwanzaa (a week-long holiday honouring African culture and traditions in the US) and of course, the biggest bash of ‘em all ─ New Year’s Eve.

But that’s not all. In between are many other celebrations like St Lucia Day (Dec 13), Boxing Day (Dec 26), Forefather’s Day (Dec 21), Roast Chestnuts Day (Dec 14), St Nicholas Day (Dec 6), Human Rights Day (Dec 10) and many, many more, in fact a whole list running for almost the entire month!

No wonder the cards we send out say, “Season’s Greetings & Happy Holidays”!
